A hearing was set for later in the month to determine whether construction of Hotel Indigo should be allowed to continue, while construction of the new Bartholomew County Jail expansion continued on schedule and Columbus City Council approved annexation and rezoning of 106 acres near Woodside Industrial Park to allow for the construction of a new industrial plant.

1992

Families Against the Landfill hired an attorney and began forming a plan to oppose the expansion of Bartholomew County Landfill in their Petersville neighborhood.

1967

Officials of Westermeier Hardware announced the 50-year-old business at Third and California streets was going out of business.
