Lane-switch begins on State Street project

Force Construction workers are switching the lane configuration on the Hawcreek Bridge as work continues on the State Street Revitalization Project.

The company on Friday moved work from the upstream side of the bridge to the downstream side in front of Mariah Foods. This resulted in a shift in traffic to the north side of the bridge with two west-bound lanes being created along with one east-bound lane.

Stadler Drive between State Street and Indiana Avenue is closed during this construction phase, city officials said. The lane shift will be in effect until the end of May.
