Grants available for children’s gardening

The George E. Archer Foundation is accepting applications for funding to support children’s gardening programs in south central Indiana. Grants are available to schools and youth-serving nonprofit organizations in Bartholomew County.

Funding may be requested up to $1,000 for each qualifying project. Organizations interested in applying for larger grants may submit a letter of inquiry in advance.

Recipients of past grants include the Brown County YMCA, Nashville; Kids With A Mission 4-H Club, Martinsville; McCormick’s Creek Elementary School, Spencer; and public libraries throughout the foundation’s eight-county service area.

The Archer Foundation does not fund staff salaries.
