James “Jim” Jenkins, 74, of North Vernon, died at 12:18 a.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017, at his residence.
Survivors include sons, Rusty (Carol) Jenkins and Jack Hatton, both of North Vernon; daughters, Angela Jenkins of Kentucky, Lora (Roger) Vanosdol of Butlerville, Lynnetta Jenkins and Melinda Vanosdol, both of North Vernon; brother, Ronnie Heavern of North Vernon; sister, Frances Dow of Michigan; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annetta Jenkins.
A funeral service for Mr. Jenkins will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. W. Sherman Beville officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Wednesday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Vernon Cemetery.
