Raymond L. Richart, 74, of North Vernon, died at 4:44 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at IU-Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Ann Catholic Church. The Rev. Jerry Byrd will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service, with a rosary service at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, Jane Kipper, Raymond is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Tim) Clark of North Vernon and Julie (Rodney Reynolds) Blount of Columbus; three sons, Daniel (Angie) Richart and Mark (Sheila) Richart, both of North Vernon and Scott (Mandi Hauersperger) Richart of Madison; four sisters, Louise Vogel and Mary Margaret Jordan, both of North Vernon, Janet Wilnow of California and Sarah Beth Gater of Columbus; two brothers, Louis Richart of North Vernon and Tom Richart of Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Vincent DePaul Society or Our Hospice of Jennings County.
