COLUMBUS, Ind. — One adult pedestrian is dead and another is being flown by a medical helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital after both were struck this evening by a vehicle on the northeast side of Columbus.
The accident occurred at about 7:15 p.m. today on Taylor Road near Lakeside Drive, said Lt. Matt Harris, spokesman for the Columbus Police Department.
The injured pedestrian is being transported to Methodist Hospital, and the probable vehicle involved is stopped, Harris said.
The northbound lane of Taylor Road has reopened, Harris said.
