Edinburgh tops Trinity
SEYMOUR — Edinburgh scored five times in the top of the sixth Friday to break a 2-2 tie and beat Trinity Lutheran 8-2 in a game that was suspended because of rain after five-plus innings Monday.
Winning pitcher Zach Murphy and Bryce Burton each went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Lancers (2-0). Gabe Wilson went 2 for 3 with three stolen bases.
Ross Kruse took the loss for the Cougars (0-2).
