Rotary clubs assist homeless shelter

Staff Reports

Brighter Days Housing, the new homeless shelter in Columbus, received $10,000 in assistance from two local Rotary clubs.

After the Columbus Rotary and Columbus Sunrise Rotary clubs heard in march 2016 about Brighter Days being built, they joined forces and apply for a $5,000 matching grant from the Rotary Foundation, which offers grants to its clubs for projects in their communities.

The grant allowed the Rotary clubs to purchase a washer and dryer, commercial dishwasher and linens for all the beds at the shelter.
