Workshop planned on senior care for veterans

Keepsake Village of Columbus is hosting a free educational workshop for veterans and their families Thursday.

World War II, Korea and Vietnam veterans and their surviving spouses may be eligible for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Aid and Attendance Pension. The pension offers a monthly tax-free benefit between $1,153 and $2,127 toward the cost of senior care.

The workshop will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Keepsake Village, 2564 Fox Pointe Drive, and will discuss eligibility. The public is welcome and refreshments will be served. For questions or more information about Thursday’s event, call 812-372-0950.

Those interested in information but unable to attend the workshop should visit veteransfinancial.com or call 1-800-835-1541.
