Philip “Kurtis” Meek, 27, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2017, at his parent’s home.

Kurtis was born August 14, 1989, in Franklin, Indiana, the son of Luanna (Jack) Baker Conner of Tullahoma, Tennessee and Philip E. (Gloria Hamblen) Meek of Edinburgh.

Kurtis enjoyed fishing, camping, guns, Camaros and working on cars. He loved to tattoo and had a wonderful way of always making people laugh, regardless of what kind of mood they were in. Kurtis loved his dogs, Sasha and Loco, but his biggest love was his children.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry England officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice of charity through the funeral home.

Survivors include his parents; companion, Rebecca Shane of Tullahoma, Tennessee; children, Raylin Kurtis Meek, Rosalynn Dawn Meek and Layla LeAnne Meek, all of Tullahoma; stepchildren, AnnaLee Elizabeth Haas and Lilly Renae Shane, both of Tullahoma; a sister, Melissa Harmon of Tullahoma; a stepbrother, Chris Conner of Tullahoma; a niece, Marissa Anna-Lee Haas; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held in Tullahoma, Tennessee at a later date.
