The American Red Cross is asking local residents to consider giving blood this spring to ensure a sufficient supply for hospital patients.
Donors of all blood types are needed and donations may be made every 56 days, up to six times a year.
Area blood drives include:
9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Developmental Services Inc., 2920 10th St.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, La Quinta, 101 Carrie Lane
2 to 7 p.m. April 18, Sand Creek Elementary School, 1450 W. County Road 500N, Jennings County
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 21, La Quinta, 101 Carrie Lane
Noon to 5 p.m. April 26, First Christian Church, 531 Fifth St.
1 to 6 p.m. April 27, First United Methodist Church, 240 N. Poplar St., North Vernon
