Local man arrested on six warrants

Columbus police arrested a local man on six arrest warrants after he was located at a west-side Columbus residence.

Alex R. Lawson, 23, Columbus, was arrested in a house in the 2100 block of Shadow Fox Drive at 8 p.m. Tuesday by Columbus police, assisted by a Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputy, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Lawson was arrested on a Jennings County arrest warrant, and five Bartholomew County failure to appear warrants for possession of a syringe, driving while suspended with a prior conviction, domestic battery, battery with bodily injury and resisting law enforcement, battery and battery by bodily waste and contempt of court.
