Wildlife refuge hosting bird habitat workshop

Anyone interested in making their yard more attractive to birds can learn how to do so for free from 1 to 3 p.m. April 22 at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge’s visitor center, 12985 U.S. 50 East, Seymour.

The Backyard Bird Habitat Workshop will cover the basic needs of birds, bird-friendly plants and simple ways people can make their yards attractive and safe places for birds.

Participants who pre-register will also receive free bird-friendly perennial plants to take home (as long as the supply lasts), courtesy of the Muscatatuck Wildlife Society.
