Ball State’s Michael VanDeventer, who tied for medalist honors in the Cardinals’ Earl Yestingsmeier Memorial Invitational, has been named one of three Mid-American Conference Golfers of the Week.
VanDeventer, a junior from Columbus North, came from five shots back entering the final round to fire a career-best 3-under-par 67 that included a 31 on the front nine at Delaware Country Club. His 2-under 208 ranks sixth on Ball State’s all-time list of 54-hole scores.
VanDeventer’s performance led the Cardinals to a runner-up finish among 13 teams.
