Susan (Edwards) Whittaker, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Sunday, April 23, 2017. She was born Aug. 7, 1947, in South Bend, Indiana, to Charles M. Edwards and Rae Marie (Casterline) Edwards. She married Terry Whittaker on Aug. 17, 1968, and they moved to Columbus in 1979 where they assumed ownership of Viewpoint Books.

As the owner of Viewpoint Books for over 35 years, she shared her passion for reading and literacy with her community. She was a kind and generous person who made everyone better for knowing her.
Please consider making a memorial contribution in her name to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or a charity of your choice.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017. For information about time and location, please refer to Susan’s CaringBridge site at caringbridge.org/visit/susanwhittaker.
