Hauser prom visits ‘Garden Paradise’ on Saturday

HOPE — Hauser High School students will be stepping into a “Garden Paradise” Saturday for the school’s prom.

An estimated 130 to 150 students are expected to attend from 8 to 11 p.m. at Factory 12 Event Loft in Columbus, said Rebekah Bryan, prom coordinator and English teacher at the school.

The prom is open to juniors or seniors, or freshmen or sophomore guests if accompanied by a junior or senior, she said.

Hauser seniors can cast ballots for prom king and queen when they enter the prom. Seniors elected to the prom court will be introduced, with the king and queen announced at 9:45 that evening, Bryan said.

After Prom will be at Main Event Entertainment in Indianapolis.

Students will ride the bus to the venue, which will feature bowling, laser tag, video games, billiards and other activities, Bryan said. The bus will return students back to the school by 5:15 a.m. Sunday, she said.
