The Inpatient Dialysis Unit at Columbus Regional Hospital has been recognized as a 5-Diamond Patient Safety Facility by the national 5 Diamond Program.

CRH is one of only 237 inpatient programs in the nation to reach this status.

Each module of the 5 Diamond Program provides tools and resources necessary to implement patient safety concepts. A total of five diamonds can be earned, one for each completed module. Modules include:

  • Developing a patient safety culture
  • Influenza vaccination campaign
  • Patient-provider conflict management

Once a facility completes all modules, with 100 percent staff participation and a commitment to use the safety concepts every day for every patient, it is recognized as a 5-Diamond Patient Safety Facility.
