Jill Ashbrook Garrison Howell, 53, of Hope, died Friday, April 28, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
She was a former part-owner of Ashbrook’s Hope Food Mart. Jill was a member of Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed Beatles music and loved her dogs. Jill enjoyed running the food mart and cherished the lifelong friendships she gained from it.
Born on May 15, 1963, in Ohio, Jill was the daughter of Vernon M. and Shirley Smith Ashbrook. She married Bobby Joe Garrison on June 30, 1989, and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2008. She married David Howell on March 2, 2010, and he survives.
Other survivors include sons, Matt, Zach and Levi Garrison, all of Hope; stepchildren, Thomas and Elizabeth Howell, both of West Lafayette; granddaughter, Audrey Garrison of Hope; siblings, Roseanne (John) Harmon of Greenfield, Alan (Becky) Ashbrook of Hope and Paul (Carol) Ashbrook of Hope; and several nieces and nephews.
Jill is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Joe; and her brother, Steven Ashbrook.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery.
