Letter: Heflen Park is clean, fun, safe place to bring friends

From: Lisa Zeigler

Columbus

As a manager of Heflen Park and on behalf of the Bartholomew County Park Board members, I am writing this letter to correct some information that might have been falsely misrepresented about Heflen Park in a story published April 9 in The Republic.

I want the public to know that Heflen Park is a Bartholomew County recreational camping facility. Our paying customers are only allowed to stay for two weeks at a time, and then they must leave for a week before returning again. This is true for all paying campers whether they are camping in tents or manufactured RVs or campers.

The managers of Heflen Park and the Bartholomew County Park Board members have put lots of hard work into this park to make it what it is today. We strive on making it a clean, safe and fun place to bring your friends and family for a great camping experience.

The months of operation for Heflen Park are the beginning of May through the end of September. We hope you come camping at our Heflen Park soon.
