James E. “Fergy” Ferguson, 62, of Columbus, died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Fergy was formerly employed at NTN Driveshaft, Inc. and Ferguson Cabinets.

He was a member of Garden City Church of Christ and he enjoyed woodworking.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Garden City Church of Christ with Brian Gilroy and Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Scipio Cemetery.

The family request that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Hilltop Christian Camp.

Mr. Ferguson was born Oct. 23, 1954, to John and Martha Kuhlman Ferguson.

He married Vickie S. Davis on June 7, 1980.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years; his brothers, Tommy Ferguson of Columbus, Phillip Ferguson of Idaho, Kenny (Ruth) Ferguson of Columbus and John Ferguson of Columbus; sisters, Martha (Bob) Gabbard of Columbus, Linda Swengal of Columbus, Ruby Ritter of Columbus and Marjorie (Warren) Hawkins of Westport; special nieces, Maryann Sizemore and MacKenzie Streeval; and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Don and Paul Ferguson; sisters, Barbara LeQuire, Betty Hurley and Mary Black; and a step-son, Michael Moore.
