State police investigating multiple vehicle accident on northbound I-65

Indiana State Police have reopened Interstate 65 at the 59 mile marker after a multi-vehicle crash that involved minor injuries.

The three-vehicle accident, which involved two cars flipping over on the interstate, has delayed traffic northbound on I-65 from Seymour north to near Columbus this morning, Indiana State Police said.

INDOT is doing patching work on the northbound lanes of the interstate north of the accident which is causing further delays once motorists get past the crash site, police said.

Indiana State Police are asking drivers to avoid the area if possible.
