Geraldine “Gigi” Marie Gardner, 43, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2017, in Edinburgh. She was born on Oct. 8, 1973, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Earl and Karen (Van Sickle) Gardner.
She was employed at Ryobi Die Casting, Inc. in Shelbyville. Whether you called her Gigi or Marie, you knew that she loved you if you were in her inner circle. She loved both of her daughters and her two granddaughters. Marie enjoyed the outdoors, reality television and spending time with her dog, Oscar, and her cat, Spot. Recently her favorite pastime was attending her youngest daughter’s gymnastics meets.
Marie is survived by her partner, Kevin Rice; two daughters, Tabby Dunagan and Ella Rice; two granddaughters, Brylee and Brynity Dunagan; her father, Earl Gardner Jr.; a sister, Angela Mishler; and a brother, William (Michele) Gardner; a nephew, Alex Mishler; and three nieces, Ashley (Gary) Craft, Holly (Lee Long) Gardner and Megan (Matt Shields) Gardner.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her mother, Karen (Van Sickle) Gardner; and her grandparents, Earl and Violet Van Sickle and Earl and Marie Gardner Sr.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel. The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life Gathering from 4 to 6 p.m. at Jessen Funeral Home, 729 N. US 31, Whiteland, Indiana 46184.
