The “Columbus” movie’s local premiere will be Sept. 1 at YES Cinema, Fourth and Jackson streets downtown. It will open nationally in New York and Los Angeles Aug. 4.
Randy Allman of the Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Center which operates YES said he confirmed the dates late Thursday with the facility’s New York booker. The booker, Michael Tuckman, mentioned that some distribution already was scheduled ahead of the current Sundance Institute and Kickstarter $150,000 online fundraising campaign ending June 1.
