Central wins match

Jacob Niedbalski carded a 41 to win medalist honors and lead the Central Middle School to a 205-208 win against St. Bartholomew on Wednesday at Harrison Lake.

Central’s Yestia Nischol added a 50, which was the top girls score. Damon Gregory shot 55, and Chase Jones had a 59. Michael Gambaiani led the Irish with a 49. Willy Davis carded a 50; Joe Neal added a 54 and Carter Ward, John Merritt and Jack Schiavello all shot 55.

Panthers fall to Knights

Jennings County fell to South Dearborn 183-207 on Wednesday. Chad Gasper led the Panthers with a 47. Mitchell Miller added a 52, and Zach Bingham and Wyatt Blackburn each shot 54.

Hauser girls prevail

The Hauser Junior High girls won a tri meet, scoring 63 points to 41 for Southwestern (Shelby) and seven for Edinburgh. Southwestern won the boys meet with 60 points to 43 for the Jets and five for the Lancers.

Kayla Magazenni led the Hauser girls with wins in the 100 and 200 meters. Ashley Chambers won the long jump, Adonah Riddle took the shot put and Carly Beeker captured the 100 hurdles. Magazenni, Emily Harker, Beeker and Riddle teams to take the 4×100 relay. Isaiah McDaniel had both wins for the Jet boys, taking the hihg jump and 200.

Jennings boys win

The Jennings County Middle School boys beat South Decatur 69-31. The Cougars won the girls meet 59-41.

Qwenton Bolden won the long jump, 100 and 200 to lead the Panther boys. Other winners were Payten Hayden in the shot, Ryan Leonard in the 110 hurdles, Logan McIntosh in the 1,600, Lane Elsner in the 400 and Joey Moran in the 800. Jennings also took the 4×100 and 4×400 relays.

Winners for the Panther girls were Addyson Kent in the 100 hurdles, Kadence Laman in the 100, Brooke Mowery in the 200 and Kristen Klosterman in the 800.
