Jets sweep Tigers
LAWRENCEBURG — Class A No. 3 Hauser put up 19 runs and 21 hits Saturday in a doubleheader sweep at Lawrenceburg.
Hunter Crain and Sydney Schoen combined on a three-hit shutout in an 8-0 opening-game win. Mykenzie Ault and Lauryn Starnes each went 2 for 3, and Schoen had two RBIs.
In the second game, Tessa Sims went 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs, and Schoen went 3 for 5 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Jets (14-3) to an 11-8 victory. Starnes went 2 for 3, and Crain pitched most of the game to pick up the pitching victory.
“We did the little things today, which was a big plus,” Hauser coach Craig Sims said.
