Two revived from overdosing after crashing car into house

A man and woman from Edinburgh were arrested after being accused of overdosing on heroin and crashing their vehicle into a Columbus home Sunday night.

Columbus Police were called to a home in the 2900 block of 19th Street about an Oldsmobile passenger car that had run into the house, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

Officers found Dillon M. Goff, 21, and passenger Samantha D. Artis, 21, unconscious, with blue lips and labored breathing, Harris said.

Police suspected the two were overdosing and administered naloxone to both of them, Harris said. Both regained consciousness a short time later and were taken to Columbus Regional Hospital for treatment, Harris said.

After being released from the hospital, Goff was arrested for possession of a drug injection device and operating a vehicle while intoxicated-endangerment, Harris said. Artis was arrested for possession of a legend drug injection device.
