Ivy Tech Community College announced the launch of its College for Working Adults, a new academic program designed around the lives of adult students.

1992

Bartholomew County Fairgrounds at County Road 200S and State Road 11, zoned for agricultural and residential usage since it opened in 1956, was rezoned for use as a public park and recreational facility.

1967

U.S. Rep. Lee H. Hamilton wrote U.S. Air Force Secretary Harold Brown to ask that 100 acres in the southern portion of Bakalar Air Base be declared surplus in the hope that a branch institute of the Indiana Vocational Technical College and a center for Indiana and Purdue university classes could be located there.
