BCSC going outside district to fill principal post

A new principal for Clifty Creek Elementary School will be named later this month by the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp.

The top candidate for the Clifty Creek position is from outside the BCSC district, said Jim Roberts, BCSC superintendent.

Four finalists were chosen from 33 candidates who applied, he said.

The district plans to announce the appointment during its May 22 school board meeting, Roberts said. The individual will replace principal Gina Pleak, who has been at the school since 2014 and was promoted to become director of title services effective July 1.

The district’s job offer to the top candidate is still being finalized, the superintendent said.
