CHARLESTON, S.C. — Police are investigating after a man was shot to death in a South Carolina coastal city.

Charleston police told local media outlets that officers were called around 9:30 p.m. Thursday after neighbors reported hearing four gunshots. Officers found a man who was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital, where he died.

The victim’s name has not been released.

No arrests have been reported.
