COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police have arrested a 19-year-old man they suspect fatally shot a man and woman in a Colorado Springs home.

Colorado Springs police officials say in a statement that officers found the bodies early Saturday inside the home north of the city’s downtown.

They identified the suspect as 19-year-old Elijah Phillips. Police officials posted on the department’s Twitter account that Phillips was arrested Saturday morning.

The police statement did not identify the man and woman who were killed or provide further details about the shooting.

Police spokesman Lt. Howard Black tells The Gazette (http://bit.ly/2pIMqlG ) that investigators identified Phillips from witness accounts.
