GREENSBURG, Pa. — Two men have been sentenced to serve 10 to 20 years each in prison in a shooting death during a botched robbery more than four years ago.
Twenty-three-year-old Antoine Hairston and 23-year-old Joshua Stepoli were sentenced Friday in Westmoreland County in the December 2012 killing of 36-year-old Chris Fincik in Monessen.
Both pleaded guilty earlier to third-degree murder and prosecutors dropped 1st-degree murder charges and agreed to recommend the 10- to 20-year terms. Both offered condolences to relatives of Fincik, who was gunned down by three masked men who barged into his home.
Twenty-two-year-old Earl Pinkney also pleaded guilty to third-degree murder in 2015 and identified them as participants. Twenty-three-year-old Chalsee Hughes was acquitted of murder but convicted of attempted robbery and conspiracy and is serving 4½ to nine years.
