TUNKHANNOCK, Pa. — Authorities are investigating the deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found in their northeastern Pennsylvania home.

State police in Wyoming County said troopers were asked to check on the welfare of the Nicholson Township couple on Friday after they failed to show up for work.

Police said the bodies of 56-year-old Kevin Benedict and 57-year-old Debra Lynn Benedict were found dead in the Route 11 home.

Autopsies will be done to determine the cause and manner of their deaths, but police said it appeared to be “an isolated incident” and there was no danger to the public.
