SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police say they’ve detained five people after a police officer responding to a burglary call was greeted with gunfire.

The officer was not hit.

Police tell San Antonio television station KENS (http://bit.ly/2qgRuB9 ) that when the officer showed up at an apartment complex on the city’s west side Sunday morning, someone started firing at him.

Authorities say among the five people detained is the person who lived at the apartment and the person suspected as the shooter.
