ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Authorities say a man was left with life-threatening injuries and two women were wounded after a shooting at a motel in Virginia.

Alexandria Police Department said in a news release that they received a report of shots fired from an Extended Stay America motel on Saturday. Once there, officers said they found a 28-year-old man, along with a 21-year-old, and 35-year-old woman. The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The women’s injuries are not believed to be non-life threatening.

The department’s public information officer, Crystal Nosal, says authorities don’t have any details on the suspect.

Police say two of the people wounded are from Alexandria, but it’s unclear why they were at the motel.
