Luciana’s approved for liquor license at The Commons

A downtown restaurant has been approved to receive a liquor license for its business to be located in The Commons.

The Columbus Redevelopment Commission on Monday approved the liquor license for Sarah Bravo, who plans to open Luciana’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina with her husband Alberto at 310 Washington St.

The Bravos were awarded a three-way license for beer, wine and liquor sales.

They plan to invest $250,000 to $300,000 to renovate the facility and add new equipment. The Bravos, who are not seeking any financial support from the city for the project, will take over the remaining seven years on the lease for the former Jordy McTaggart’s Grill & Pub, which closed in January after being in operation for nearly three years.
