PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Police say video from a Rhode Island nightclub where three people were shot shows that an argument inside the club’s VIP section escalated to violence in the parking lot.

WPRI-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2qMhe9Y ) that video of the May 7 shooting at Club Luv in Providence was shown Monday at a meeting of a board that has temporarily suspended the club’s license. Despite showing it a public meeting, officials would not allow recordings or copies to be made of the video.

Police say the video indicates everyone involved in the shooting had been inside in the club. Exterior video shows a man throwing a punch in the club’s parking lot, followed by an exchange of gunfire. Three people were wounded in the shooting. Police believe at least one was a bystander.
