Ronald C. Crabtree, 75, of Columbus, passed away at 12:33 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2017, at Indiana University Methodist Hospital.
He was born Dec. 31, 1941, in Jamestown, Tennessee, to Willard C. and Lula Beaty Crabtree.
Ronald was former owner of the Tasty Shop in Edinburgh.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Metz officiating. Calling will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association through the funeral home.
Survivors include his sons, Ronald Dale (Betty Lacefield) Crabtree of North Vernon, Scott Crabtree of Indianapolis and Austin K. Crabtree of Columbus; a daughter, Patricia Sidebottem of Columbus; sisters, Carol Jean (Carson) Reagan of Englewood, Ohio, Diana Bush of Cookeville, Tennessee, Carmen (Jerry) Greathouse of Columbus and Sandra (Tom) Mercier of Carlock, Illinois; grandchildren, Kristy (Timothy) Hill, Ronald (Stacey) Crabtree, Derek Crabtree, Aaron Crabtree, Alexis Crabtree and Hank Crabtree; and five great-grandchildren.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Margaret Settles.
