Grace A. Orr, 93, of Columbus, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Four Seasons Healthcare.
Grace was born March 1, 1924, in Detroit, Michigan, where she lived until 1960. She attended Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan, where she met her husband, Robert Orr. They were married on Jan. 12, 1944. They moved to Marquette, Michigan, in 1960 to raise their five children.
Grace was a loving mother who devoted all her time to being a homemaker for her family. In 1984, Grace and her husband moved to Columbus to retire.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, was very active in and loved going to Mill Race Center and belonged to numerous Bridge clubs. Grace was also a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert Orr; parents, William and Jessie (Hunter) Squires; son, Larry Orr; sister, Marion Creath; and aunt, Jean Fullerton.
Survivors include her loving children, David (Donna) Orr of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, Rick Orr of Marquette, Michigan, John (CheyAnne) Orr of Norton Shores, Michigan and Janet (John) Stone of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Myers-Reed Chapel with Pastor Dave Blystone officiating. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time at the funeral home.
