Heart scans offered at discount through June

Columbus Regional Health is offering low-cost coronary calcium scans of the heart through June.

A computed tomography (CT) scan is a noninvasive test using X-rays to detect and measure the amount of calcium in coronary artery walls.

Normally $49, CRH is offering the test for $10 through the end of June at Columbus Diagnostic Imaging, 790 Creekview Drive, Columbus. This fee will be collected at time of test and not submitted to insurance.

To be eligible, patients must be between 40 and 79 years of age with one of the following risk factors:

  • Family history of heart disease, stroke and/or vascular disease
  • Smoking
  • Diabetes
  • Obesity
  • High blood pressure
