GOSHEN, N.Y. — A 20-year-old Hudson Valley woman has been sentenced to 19 years to life in prison for the beating death of an 81-year-old woman during a burglary seeking drug money.
The Middletown Times Herald-Record (http://bit.ly/2rfK8is ) reports that Jennifer Molyneaux, of Wallkill, was sentenced in Orange County Court on Wednesday for second-degree murder. She pleaded guilty in February 2015 to killing Helen Mills during an August 2014 break-in at the woman’s home in Goshen.
Molyneaux was 17 when she and Devin Giordano, of Goshen, went to Mills’ home seeking drug money. Prosecutors say the pair set fire to the home to hide the crime.
Giordano pleaded guilty to charges including murder and arson and was sentenced in March to 20 years to life.
