HENRICO, Va. — Henrico County wants to add more women to its police force.

WRIC-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2qRTYaJ ) that the police division is hosting an information program Thursday for women interested in a career in law enforcement. Organizers say participants will get to talk to current female police and communications officers and learn about the application process, among other things.

An officer will also demonstrate the required physical agility test.

About 10 percent of Henrico’s police officers are women.

The event will be held at 6 p.m. at the Henrico County Training Center.
