Semis collide at the Edinburgh Outlet Mall exit on northbound I-65

Two semis have collided at the 76 mile marker in the northbound lanes of Interstate 65 near the Edinburgh Outlet Mall at 5:15 p.m. Friday. The accident is just past the bridge at the 76B exit.

Indiana State Police, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies and Columbus police are at the scene and have reported one driver will need to be extricated.

First responders are expecting to open the northbound lanes by 5:45 p.m., but the lanes have been closed to allow emergency vehicles to reach the crash scene.

Indiana State Police are asking motorists to avoid the area if possible.
