Jennings County High School’s Academic Super Bowl Team achieved a first this year: designation as a state finalist.
The team earned that distinction in the social studies competition, one of five subject rounds at the May 6 state finals at Purdue University. A sixth interdisciplinary round included questions from any subject.
Jennings County competed in Class 1 and scored 14 points out of a possible 25.
Team members were Kayla Gross, Kaleb Downs, Mikayla George and Carlee Nixon. They were coached by Charlinda Evans.
