County bridge to be repaired, closing in June

County Roads 560E and 610E in Jennings County will be closed for up to 150 days beginning in mid-June to replace the aging bridge over Otter Creek where the two roads intersect.

Both roads will close to all traffic at the construction site, which is located 1.9 miles south of U.S. Highway 50 south of Butlerville.

Dave O’Mara, the state’s contractor for the $1.374 million project, will build a new two-span, 200-foot-long structure with 28 feet of clear roadway side-to-side. County roads will be realigned at the Campbell Township site.

Detour signs for the roads will be posted prior to barricades being put in place.
