Raymond Bolin

Nashville

Raymond (Ray) Bolin, 81, of Nashville, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 18, 2017, surrounded by his family.

A graduate of Indiana State University, Ray received his masters degree from the University of Wisconsin.

He was a kind, pleasant, fun loving and humble man that was extremely caring with a gentle soul, as well. He was liked by all, loved by many and deeply so by his family.

Raymond was a loving husband, tremendous father, proud grandfather, deeply loyal friend and a faithful servant of God.

He enjoyed camping, working on cars, woodwork, Bud Light and IU basketball, but the thing that he enjoyed most was time spent with family and his close friends.

He was an industrial arts teacher of 30 years in the South Bend school system, a volunteer fireman and served in the army.

He received tremendous care at Methodist and Kindred North Hospitals and was grateful for that.

Ray is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann; his son John of Seattle, Washington; and his daughters, Barb Tessely of Fort Collins, Colorado, Anne Gardner (David) of Fishers, Katie Knebel ( Bob) of Noblesville and Jennifer Sherry (Kevin) of Fishers. Ray is also survived by his nine grandchildren, Caleb, Branden, Caitlin, Allie, Ethan, Claire, Sam, Quinn and Luke.

There will be a memorial mass for Ray at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1008 McLary Road, Nashville, Indiana 47448. Arrangements by Indiana Funeral Care.
