Columbus police arrested a local man after he gave a false name to officers who later determined he was wanted on three warrants.
Sgt. Oscar Olmeda was sent to a local hotel in the 2400 block of Jonathan Moore Pike at 9 a.m. Tuesday about a man walking around and acting suspiciously.
Olmeda located Nathan F. Ingram, 27, of 3719 Camelot Lane, who gave him a false name, said Officer Alyson Rech, Columbus Police Department spokeswoman.
Olmeda determined there were three Bartholomew County warrants pending for Ingram, Rech said.
As Ingram was arrested, officers found a syringe and glass pipe in his pants pockets, Rech said. He was arrested on the warrants and preliminary charges of possession of a legend drug injection device, possession of paraphernalia and false informing, jail officials said.
