Danny L. Fivecoat, 72, of Columbus, passed from this life at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at his home.
Danny was a self-employed barber for 54 years and worked alongside his wife at Danny & Fay’s. He joined the Masonic Lodge on Oct. 19, 1973, and was currently a member of the Jackson Masonic Lodge #146 in Seymour and Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite. He formerly attended Garden City Church of Christ.
A Masonic service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday by the Jackson Masonic Lodge followed by a funeral service conducted by David Burnett at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mr. Fivecoat was born June 16, 1944, in Columbus, to Charles R. and Laverne Abner Fivecoat. He married Fayola Pedigo on Oct. 23, 1963.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 54 years; daughters, Teresa Fivecoat and Lisa (Jerry) Bense, both of Columbus; his sister, Laverne Sue Kain of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Roger Fivecoat; sister, Brenda K. Starnes; and two half-brothers.
