Four arrested after dispute over money

COLUMBUS, Indiana — Columbus police arrested four people after a dispute over money.

They were called to the 1400 block of Lafayette Avenue at 3:15 p.m. Monday where two victims told them their front door had been kicked in and they were assaulted by four people, police said.

One of the victims said he was struck in the head by one of the suspects who might have been wearing brass knuckles during the attack, police said.

A short time later, police found the four people inside a residence in the 1500 block of Chestnut Street.

Arrested on charges of residential entry and battery with bodily injury were Donald F. Thompson, 29, Columbus, Susan G. Young, 48, Columbus, Ashley R. Shuffitt, 21, Columbus and Cody L. Johnson, 20 Columbus, police said.
