Brian’s picks – June 1

1) Indianapolis-based band My Yellow Rickshaw possesses a sense of humor and fun as broad as its repertoire, which stretches from The Temptations and Lynyrd Skynyrd to Miley Cyrus and Bruno Mars. And the group known for its freewheeling, in-the-moment set lists kicks off the free, new JCB NeighborFEST series at 5:30 p.m. today in front of The Commons at 300 Washington St. in Columbus. Concessions will be available from nearby downtown restaurants. Information: 812-376-2539 or artsincolumbus.org.

2) Youngsters ages 6 to 12 can build on creative fun at two sessions of the free LEGO Club at 3:30 or 4:15 p.m. Friday at the Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St. in Columbus. Organizers ask that parents or children pick only one time to attend. Information: 812-379-1266 or mybcpl.org.
