PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police are looking for a man who beat a woman unconscious then tried stuffing her in a trash bag — all across the street from a hospital.

Police have yet to release the name of the woman or say whether they know who the suspect is.

WTXF-TV (http://bit.ly/2qEak2W ) reports the incident happened about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday across from Aria Torresdale Hospital in the city’s Frankford section.

Some hospital employees witnessed part of the attack and carried the 29-year-old woman inside after the beating suspect ran away as the employees yelled at him.

They tell police the man tore open a trash bag and tried to stuff the petite woman inside before he fled. Police are hoping to find fingerprints on the trash bag to identify the man.
